Some say it's more of a day for young love among teenagers or young adults.
Others question why there's a need for a set day for couples to celebrate their love, arguing that it should be celebrated every day or any time.

One woman on the Yahoo Answers website said "it’s a surefire way to feel terrible about your lonesomeness." (source: www.answers.yahoo.com)
"Valentine’s Day is about expecting guys in particular to go all out and to plan insanely amazing days for their partners. And as girls, are we supposed to feel let down or as though missing out – or as if our BFs are lacking – if they don’t come up with extravagant gifts and gestures?"

"A guy doesn't really need to go all out, a bouquet of flowers and some chocolates will make just about any girl feel special," she said.
Another said she loved the day.
