It was all about Fairfax Media at this year's Country Press SA Awards, held at the Novotel Barossa on Friday night, with three of the company's publications winning the three best newspaper categories.

The audience was left shocked after The Recorder dethroned the Murray Valley Standard in the 2500-6000 catergory, a title the Murray Bridge publication has won for the last 10 years.
The Naracoorte Herald, also a Fairfax publication, placed second and was followed by the third-placed Murray Valley Standard.
A second shock followed with The Border Watch missing out on top spot in the 6000+ category, with the Port Lincoln Times being crowned best newspaper.
