It was the Stand Tall for PTS (post traumatic stress) rally, organised by local businessman John Byrne, which saw the procession head down the main street before concluding in the Town Hall car park.
Mr Byrne wanted to raise awareness of PTS disorder and how people can help those suffering.
Thanks to local emergency services and Young Shire Council, he was able to achieve that ambition.
And if their presence didn’t bring everybody to a halt that morning, John’s recently aquired Centurian army tank certainly did.
A small crowd of all ages - from children to war veterans - gathered at Town Hall after the street rally to have a closer look at the machine.
Among those present included a World War II veteran, 95-year-old Julius Phillips of the Second Seventh Armoured Regiment in General Grand Tanks, and a number of Vietnam War veterans.
Mayor John Walker welcomed the support and reminded those gathered why they were there.
Local doctor Tom Douch, also an ex-serviceman, also spoke on the importance of helping someone with PTSD.
