The day is the association’s major fundraising event for the year.
The foundation’s co-founder Emma Cockburn said the day was attended by about 530 people - 200 up on last year - and raised about $2300.
“It was a great day, everyone really enjoyed themselves,” she said.
“We had a lot of comments that it was a great family day out.
“For us it’s more about a thank you to the community.
“We want to do something where the children can be involved, while raising awareness about driveway safety.”
This year there was the added addition of an Olympic swimmer and 1988 gold medallist, Duncan Armstrong.
The day culminated in an opportunity for heat winners to take to the pool against the Olympian, in the Duncan Armstrong Race.
No surprises that 46-year-old Armstrong took out the race, with James McEvoy second and Troy Hammer taking out third place.
