We have seen the kids grow in strengths and abilities, through their coaching in various skills and drills to their game play.
All junior players should be very proud of their efforts this session.
A huge thank you goes out to the amazing coaches who took on the role of developing a team and making them their own.
A shout-out to Jack Bush whose team not only worked hard for the entire season but, took the grand final out – congratulations to their team - job well done.
From the juniors participating over the season, a juniors “All Stars” team will this week take on the coaches to see if they can put their skills in place and challenge their coaches.
We wish the junior “All Stars” team the best of luck tomorrow evening.
The following individuals are those who made the team: Billy Lamb, Jordan Wilder, Riley Noakes, Billy Corcoran, Tyler Hambrook, Brock Sing, Emily Lamb, Corey Lucas, Sam Grazaini, Brodie Patterson, Marcus Asthon and Clay Sing.
The Touch Football committee would like to thank our juniors major sponsor Judge’s Pharmacy, this season would not have been possible without the assistance of Judge’s Pharmacy for our Juniors Competition.
In Round 15 of the Anytime Fitness Competition, there were many changes to the top eight positions, with YSB being too strong for Sweet Cherry Pie taking the win 3 – 1 and 7/13 going down to the Untouchables who are now on a path to victory.
Freshers who have seemed so strong have faded in the last four weeks, going from second to fifth in a matter of weeks.
Will they choke this week or will they be able to show their talents?
Another team who may be good to keep their eye on will be The Bogans who have worked hard and put some great touch together over the last few weeks.
In the men’s competition SASJP’s have just been too strong for their opposition throughout the season, let’s hope they don’t get knocked out by the underdogs Bon Copper’s crew in the first finals elimination round.
Cooper’s Troopers were last year’s winners taking a very easy win over their opponents, however, this season we have seen them have to work extremely hard for their position.
In the men’s final it is going to be interesting to pick the grand final competitors, good luck to all teams participating in this weeks finals.
Next week, we will see the winners of this week’s finals playing each other in the last elimination final, before progressing into the grand final next week.
All teams are to be prepared to play two games next week.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers this season, especially our referees, our canteen assistances and special mention to Dom Scott, Lucy Jones and Chloe Jones for their ongoing assistance, the announcers - in particular Brendan Holmes - and thanks to the Young Shire Council for keeping our fields maintained and well-marked.
We would like to thank our sponsors for an outstanding season, Anytime Fitness, Judge’s Pharmacy, Wilkinson’s Travel, Empire Hotel and Harvey Norman Young.
