Playing in the Young Junior Cricket Association Under 14s competition against Crossbuild Boorowa, Hall was unstoppable, hitting his first century for the season.
Hall carried his bat to finish unbeaten on 104, as his side posted 234 from 25 overs, and eventually secured a 119 run win.
Nicholas said he was excited to hear he had been awarded the certificate, and was pleased with his efforts on the weekend.
“I was pretty surprised,” he said.
“It’s my first hundred, so it was pretty exciting to finally get that.”
As the winner of McDonald’s Junior Cricketer of the Week, Hall will receive a $50 pre-paid Visa card while a certificate bearing his name will also be displayed at his local McDonald’s restaurant in Young.
The Junior Cricketer of the Week Award is proudly sponsored by Cricket NSW Major Community Partner, McDonald’s.
Chris Harrison, McDonald’s Young Licensee, is very pleased that a promising young cricketer from the local community has received the award.
“Cricket clubs are run throughout the state and it is great to see a junior cricketer from our own local area receive this admirable prize,” he said.
“Cricket NSW is a first-rate organisation that encourages healthy and balanced lifestyles for our children, and we at McDonald’s are excited to be working together with them to help support kids playing cricket this summer.”
Each week one junior cricketer from both metropolitan Sydney and regional NSW will be celebrated for their achievements on the field.
In addition to their support of this award, McDonald’s has supported junior cricket by promoting registration days through their restaurants across the State.
They have also helped deliver the McDonald’s Community Grants Program which provides funds towards important infrastructure for the cricket community throughout NSW.
