Yes. This sensory experience will be provided by one of three plants Young Shire Council has selected for the newly created garden beds that adorn the newly upgraded main street.
The Chinese Star Jasmine will be bordered very elegantly with Japanese Box Hedges - which will provide a delightful splash of green when everything feels brown and dusty.
And completing the picture will be Cordyline, a palm-like plant bursting with tropical colours.
It’s all designed to beautify the CBD’s central blocks as part of the upgrades, operations director Dirk Wymer said.
“We have flowers and plants at our roundabouts but nothing at the centre of the blocks,” Mr Wymer said.
