The moto-trials - open only to members of the Trials Club of Canberra - is held annually at a property in Murringo and draws a crowd of around 40 participants.
Those involved are required to ride over natural terrain in order to build their skills.
Participants travel from as far away as Sydney and Victoria, and include both males and females ranging from anywhere between seven to 70 years old.
“A lot are addicted to it - it’s a good excuse to ride,” club member Peter Mowat said.
He said it is the ideal sport for kids as it develops balance, coordination and throttle control over an obstacle laden course.
“It makes them better riders in later life,” Peter said.
“A lot of people just want to go fast and don’t learn these skills first.”
The Young and Murringo communities are encouraged to get behind the event which will see all monies raised from food sales donated to the Murringo Public School P&C.
On entering Murringo, spectators are to follow the signs to find the property.
Enquiries to Peter Mowat on 6384 6332.
The village will also be holding their market day on Sunday, May 24.
