Seven teams ageing from 11 years to Opens competed on the day.
The 17s took on the Forbes carnival head on, even though they were missing players through injury and WRAS duties.
The team had eight games and played a mixture of Opens and 17s.
The coaches instructions for the day was to work on their court spacing, man-to-man defence and most of all play hard and have fun.
What a performance in skills, heart and determination these eight players demonstrated, all with a smile on their face.
Playing with only one defender for the day all the players stood up and were happy to play in a position which wasn’t comfortable to them.
Special mention to Sienna who is only new to the game, as the only defender she was outstanding taking intercepts, pulling rebounds and bring the ball down the court with ease.
Maggie worked extremely hard on her man-to-man defence all day and took some great intercepts and placed pressure on the opposition.
Maggie was all speed during the day and it would be great to see more of it.
Regan, Roshan and Millie linked the two ends together and displayed some outstanding attacking moves.
Caitlin improved this carnival in her shooting and was standing strong against some tough defensive players. Plus the coach loved her two cheeky goals when the defence had a lapse in concentration.
Chelsea and Emma as always working from the first game to the last and took any position without question.
Emma worked hard in her defensive role, plus where have those passes come from - outstanding. Chelsea worked hard in defence and in attack with clearing when needed.
A special mention to Bridgette who is currently out injured but turns up to every carnival and training session, cheers loudly from the sideline and has decided it is easier to play than to be on the sideline.
As a coach it was great to see these girls not only combine on the court but off the court too. They were in the tent laughing and demonstrating team work.
As the 17s know team work means “Together Everyone Achieves More”.
With the steps the 17s are taking we are building to take the State Championships by storm.
The next outing for the 17s is the Wagga carnival on May 23.
All children between the ages five to 10 years come along and try Netsetgo. Netsetgo has changed and it will see qualified coaches teaching the children passing, how to defend, footwork, shooting and all aspects of the game of netball whilst having fun.
After the skill session the participants will be playing games. At 6pm the children will be placed in teams to have a game and put what they have learned into practice. Netsetgo will commence on Monday, May 18 on Court 6.
