We play the town comp on Friday evening this week.
This will likely be our last Friday night fixture for boys football.
Our league tag Friday night footy will again be on and continue on Fridays.
We head to Temora on Saturday morning to play the Dragons.
They are always tough opposition and we all need to get ready for some tough footy.
I know that we can give a good showing, but we need to be prepared to work hard and do the little tough things that the other side is also willing to do.
Let’s remind our kids that little things like preparation, concentration, effort and communication go a long way towards getting a good result. Not only in football, but in life and they are the stepping stones our coaches and parents want to see our kids working towards.
Our 13s and 10s tag teams will again get two matches on Saturday.
We have been lucky in that we have managed to get two games most weeks for these teams.
Temora have strong numbers in 6s and 7s and have asked for extra games.
I have agreed but said they may need to help us with numbers.
I encourage some of our under 6s and 7s to make the trip across to Temora on Saturday.
It is the last away trip of the year.
The more footy you play the better you will go and with two games, everyone will get good game time.
We really need to get a few more travellers in the littlies and with the season progressing, our little men may be a little more confident about footy and what’s going on that a trip to Temora might work.
Can you talk to the rep coaches on Friday night if you are going across, it will help with planning a great deal.
Points to note: town comp in Young on Friday night.
