Around 50 juniors from Young and surrounding towns headed to Hall Brothers Oval on Monday morning to take part in the first of 12 clinics to be held around the region.
Brumbies development officers, with the help of staff from Canberra, guided the youngsters, who were aged between seven and 13 years, through basic coaching and a variety of games.
Brumbies development officer and former Young High School student, Seth Stoltenberg, said the clinics are an important part of promoting the game in rural communities.
“It’s important to develop the game and to get locals to play union,” he said.
