The reality television show is a groundbreaking social experiment that helps Aussies who are single find their potential lifelong partner using the science of matchmaking.
It’s based on a Danish program - which has also aired in the United States - and features four couples who agree to marry when they first meet.
Unlike other versions of the show around the world, the couples do not partake in a legally binding marriage, due to legal restrictions, but instead meet as strangers at the altar of a commitment ceremony.
The couples spend their wedding night in a hotel, then leave for their honeymoon.
Upon returning home, the newlyweds live together for a month, whereafter they choose whether they will continue their relationship.
Channel Nine producer Katie Smee said she was very keen to get the word out to as many people as possible in Young.
“We are looking for men and women over the age of 25 years who are single and ready to commit to love,” she said.
“It’s such a fantastic once in a lifetime opportunity for anyone who wants a shot at finding true love with the guidance of clinical psychologists.”
