People have travelled from as far away as Cairns to attend the event, as well as Sydney, Griffith and beyond.
And in breaking the traditional horrific weather trend seen in past years, riders and organisers experienced reasonably tame conditions. It comes as a relief for those camping in swags and horse floats.
“It rained on Tuesday but that didn’t stop the kids, which was great,” one organiser said.
Riders as young as five years old, ranging to 23 years, have enjoyed the week socialising and creating a special bond with their horse.
Organiser Barry Matthews said parents have commented on how far their child has excelled in a matter of days, all the while having fun.
He also extends a big thank you to fellow camp cooks Heath “Rooster” Roberts and Ben Wurth for volunteering their time during the week.
