This concert showcases the amazing creative arts talent which lies within our local public schools.
The Young district is fast gaining a reputation as a leader in creative arts education, with talented music, drama and dance teachers, and a close working relationship with the Young Regional School of Music.
Students from these schools regularly take part in regional, state and national music, drama and dance ensembles and this concert is one not to be missed.
This concert is being produced by the Hilltops Organisation of Public Schools and is directed by Nyree Job from Young High School.
The schools taking part include Young High, Young Public, Young North, Maimuru, Monteagle, Wombat and Murringo public schools.
There will be dance, drama, choir, band and marimba performances galore.
The highlight of the event will be the grand finale, which features a combined band, choir and dance ensemble from all of the schools.
This is the first time the band has been drawn from all of the public schools and they have been busy rehearsing as one combined musical force.
The performances will be held on Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30 from 6.30pm at the Young North Public school hall.
Don’t miss out!
