Living in small rural communities of less than 1000 people is, according to researchers, the secret to happiness.
The Household, Income and Labour Dynamics Survey (HILDA), conducted by the University of Melbourne, has found that Australians who live in towns with less than 1000 people are significantly happier than those in big cities.
