“Loved by all that know him and always made one hell of an impression on anyone that got the chance to meet him,” the family wrote in a tribute issued to The Young Witness.
Scott - known to most as “Macca” - was tragically killed on Saturday night when his car left the road and struck a tree.
His Holden Colorado was travelling north on the Lachlan Valley Way about 10.20pm, eight kilometres south of Boorowa.
The highway was closed in both directions for a number of hours.
Police from Cootamundra Local Area Command attended and inquiries into the incident continue.
Macca’s family said the 40-year-old was a loyal, devoted family man, who loved and cherished all five of his children - Jacqueline, Nicholas, Joel, Jack and Emily - and idolised his mum Shirl.
“And his dad, Steve, isn't just his dad but his best mate, he doted over his second mum Kerri - an all-round great woman,” the family said.
“He adored his siblings, Kristy, Emma, Ben, Josh and Lindsee, as much as he loved to s--t stir us all.
“Macca absolutely admired and treasured his girlfriend Jacki, his love for her was unconditional.
“Macca dearly loved every single one of his family members, he would go out of his way and do anything for family.”
Macca was well known for the party animal he was.
He loved a drink, a good party and a good laugh.
“A laugh that would make everyone around him laugh, and that bloody cheeky grin, not very often did that leave his face,” his family said.
They said he was always the life of the party.
Macca was famous for being a “s--t stirrer and a smart ass”, and loved to play a good joke on just about anyone.
He was a crazy mad ACDC and Ned Kelly fan.
“Macca a devastating loss to the community, his mates and his family,” the family said.
“Loved by all, treasured forever. Such is life.”
From his daughter Jacqueline and son Nicholas: “A wonderful father and we will miss him so very much”.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Heaven's Call
There's a hole in our hearts
That only you can fill
How can everything
be moving?
When my heart
is standing still.
This can't be right
There must be some mistake
As this is not how
A heart is meant to break.
They say when heaven calls
It just can't wait
As we can't stop
An Angel's fate.
If tears could raise you up
I know you would fly so high
And if they could bring you back
You'd be right by our side.
To change the hands of time
Is all I want to do
To see those cheeky eyes
A witty line from you.
Even when you were innocent
You looked like you were
up to no good
Just to hear another,
“what’s up bugalugs?”
I would do all I could.
Always up for a laugh
You'd love a good story
With a captivated audience
You were in your glory.
With all the colour
you brought to life
To brighten up the day
I have a kaleidoscope
of memories
To bring colour to my grey.
Our souls here on earth
Are only ever on loan
As one day heaven will call us
To return back home.
Even though we’re not
ready to let go
It’s not up to us to measure
Only heaven can decide
When to retrieve its treasure.
