Christine Ouzounian has been thrust into the media spotlight as the alleged "other woman" in the end of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's 10-year marriage.

According to Us Weekly, Ouzounian was hired by Garner earlier this year from a high-end Beverly Hills nannying agency to look after the couple's three children, Violet, nine, Seraphina, six, and Samuel, three.

The Afflecks were not Ouzounian's first high-profile clients. She has previously acted as a nanny for Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka's two children.

During her time in the Affleck house, Us Weekly alleges that Ouzounian and Affleck started up a romance that ultimately resulted in Affleck and Garner's divorce.

In a celebrity story that has ranged in its scope from Garner and Affleck amicably living together while the paperwork is finalised to Ouzounian tipping off photographers and being hidden away in a hotel room, it's hard to know what to believe. May-June: Various rumours surface that Garner and Affleck's marriage is on the rocks

During the two months before the split, various tabloids report that Garner and Affleck's marriage is not long for this world.

Common evidence cited includes: Affleck being spotted on a retreat in remote Canada without his wedding ring, paparazzi shots of Garner looking more stressed than one normally does in an airport, and Affleck allegedly playing poker to the wee hours of the morning during a trip to Las Vegas in early May.

June 30: Garner and Affleck announce split

The couple announce their intention to divorce one day after their 10th wedding anniversary, while on a family vacation to the Bahamas.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the statement says.

"We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children, whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time.

"This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."

Affleck is understood to be either staying with Garner or at his friend Matt Damon's house nearby.

July 9: Affleck confirmed to be staying with the family in Atlanta

Page Six reports that Affleck is minding the couple's three children while Garner finishes filming Miracles from Heaven in Atlanta, Georgia.

"They are trying to make this as normal and amicable as possible for themselves and for the kids," a source said.

July 10: First cheating allegations

Just 10 days after the divorce announcement, Us Weekly comes forward with allegations that Affleck cheated on Garner during their marriage. The article cites multiple sources, some of whom state the divorce was caused by Affleck's infidelity (however, one source denies this explicitly). Affleck's alleged drinking and gambling are also raised by sources.

The magazine alleges Affleck is dating 28-year-old Christine Ouzounian, who Garner hired as a nanny for the couple's children earlier this year.

According to Us Weekly, Ouzounian was hired while Affleck and Garner were on a "secret 10-month trial separation", and were "very flirty" before Garner figured out what was happening and fired her.

One of of Ouzounian's "friends" says, "She says Ben really, really likes her. She's saying this is true love."

July 29: Affleck denies relationship with Ouzounian

Affleck's rep tells Us Weekly that "all allegations of a romantic relationship are baseless and untrue".

July 30: ET alleges Ouzounian tipped off the paparazzi when she was visiting Affleck

After word that pictures were taken of Affleck and Ouzounian at Affleck's rented home on July 17, Entertainment Tonight alleges the pictures were taken because Ouzounian told the paparazzi she would be visiting him at that time.

August 5: Pictures of Affleck and Ouzounian outside his LA home on July 17 published

US Weekly publishes pictures of Affleck and Ouzounian standing around his LA rental property. In one of the pictures, Affleck is holding a bottle of champagne. Another appears to show Ouzounian driving Affleck's Lexus.

August 5: Star magazine alleges Ouzounian is pregnant

In their issue out this week, Star magazine alleges Ouzounian is actually pregnant with Affleck's child. The magazine also claims she is being kept in an LA hotel by Affleck. According to People, Affleck has retreated to the Hamptons.
