Think about it. The most famous car chase in cinema history. Steve McQueen and his 1968 Ford Mustang GT in the movie Bullitt​ screaming around the vertiginous streets of San Francisco, being pursued by an equally maniacal Dodge Charger. The banshee shriek of burning rubber on the bitumen, the guttural crunch of gears, the steering wheel spinning around like a mad clock, with McQueen's white-knuckled hands gripping it as if his life depended on it.
