Fire crews were called to the fire in a single story transportable home around 5.45pm.
The residents had returned to the property to discover smoke and flames emanating from a bathroom window.
A dog inside the home was rescued by its owner who used a fire hose to douse the flames while they awaited the emergency services teams.
Police, NSW Fire and Rescue and the Rural Fire Service attended the scene on the five acre property.
No injuries were reported.
At this stage it is believed the fire originated from a candle on the timber window sill.
Police say it’s possible the candle ignited a pile of towels and clothes in the bathtub, with the heat of a fire causing the bathroom window to shatter.
Young Fire and Rescue captain Ryan Terry reiterated his warning to home owners to ensure candles are completely extinguished.
