How could you weight Boban, a worthy favourite for today's Memsie, in a Welter, considering his triumphs at the elite level?

Maybe he was beaten in the corresponding event last year but Chris Waller has given him a better foundation for Saturday with the main danger being his head-throwing antics during a race.

Still I'm prepared to take the odds that Glyn Schofield will keep Boban cool, calm and collected in the run, but obviously Hi World should be considered on potential.

McEvoy scored on Hi World in the Group one Packer Plate at Randwick last season and has educated him in two recent Sydney barrier trials, strong if not sensational, for his return today.

However former New Zealander Bounding, a McEvoy mount and top contender in the Shark.com Stakes, has really caught the eye in recent Rosehill heats.

Now with the Snowdens, Peter and Paul, Bounding has filled the quinella at 13 out of her 14 starts and while she takes on the local speed ball Rich Enuff, she is an appealing gamble: the bet of the day in fact.

"Based on 1700 horses at a saving of $226.30 per horse, per year it is a total reduction in track fees for owners of $384,710.

"Compared to the reduction of track fees to all owners to the increase in prizemoney to 11 Group One races it is easy to see why people lose enthusiasm for owning a racehorse."
