There have been plenty of opportunities lately, with Day on the best streak of his career so far, winning three of his past four tournaments, including the PGA Championship, his first major title.
Day - who is a combined 73 under par in his past five tournaments - is gaining the upper hand in a three-way tussle with Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy for the world's top ranking. He heads next to the Deutsche Bank Championship in Massachusetts, which starts on Friday.
