His 18-month-old daughter Georgia has cerebral palsy (CP), a physical disability that affects movement and posture.

It’s a permanent condition caused from damage to the developing brain either during pregnancy or shortly after birth and can affect people in different ways.

Steptember is a charity event that challenges people to take 10,000 steps or more a day for 28 days straight in September in the name of cerebral palsy.

It’s a cause Glenn said was very close to his heart.

“I wanted to be part of an amazing cause that would not only help benefit my daughter but also a lot of other people who have CP,” Glenn said.

“Being part of a team to raise much-needed money for CP is the best feeling anyone could ask for.”

Georgia was diagnosed with CP at four months of age.

“At times she gets frustrated because she will try and do something with her right hand and cannot do it the first time,” Glenn said.

“But she is a fighter, she never gives up and will keep trying until she has achieved what she has set out to do.”

Glenn, his partner Erica Ferrari and Georgia’s mum Melissa Avery make up ACE iPhone Repairs Steptember Team.

They’re aiming to raise as much money as possible, with an initial target of $500.

But only two days in (as of yesterday) the trio have already generated $367.38.

And on his first day - from 7am to 7pm - Glenn nailed 11,190 steps and Erica 13,558.

“It’s amazing that we have already raised $367 and that was before Steptember even kicked off,” Glenn said.

“The more money we can raise the better.”
