A clean sweep of Sunday's two final stages of the National Capital Tour has given Canberra rider Rebecca Wiasak the perfect kick-start to her Olympic dream.

Wiasak won both the road race and the criterium at Stromlo Forest Park, but Ruth Corset claimed overall honours for the second time in three years to extend her lead in the women's National Road Series.
New Zealander Joseph Cooper secured the yellow jersey in the men's division.
Wiasak flew back to Adelaide on Sunday night to resume training with the Australian track cycling squad as she ramps up her preparations for next year's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
There was a sense of deja vu about Wiasak's double success, having achieved the same result in 2013.
"The courses were different this year, but essentially finishing with the same finish on the crit track that I'm comfortable with," Wiasak said.
"I know the uphill and headwind finish, so I was comfortable if it came down to a sprint, but I thought, should take a chance and it definitely paid off going with just over a lap to go.
"I'm really pleased to get two wins at home and it's a great way to wrap up the tour and head back into camp tomorrow."
Corset finished third in the criterium to hang on to the yellow jersey and extend her lead in the overall standings.
She had a substantial time gap over Wiasak and had to keep her eye on Ainslie Bakker from the QAS team.
"The National Capital Tour suits me having that hilltop finish and I love an aggressive tour, so it suited me perfectly," Corset said.
"The different courses are really good and I really liked the time trial being quite hilly.
"It makes it an interesting tour having all those hills in it."
Canberra rider Lucy Bechtel finished second in the road race, with dual world champion Ashlee Ankudinoff third.
Josh Taylor claimed the men's road race on Sunday before three-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist Scott Sunderland took out the criterium.
But they couldn't catch Cooper for the overall honours after Lucas Hamilton from the Victorian Institute of Sport crashed in the road race while wearing the yellow jersey.
The men's national road series continues with the Tour of Tasmania from October 6-11, while the women are back in action at the Tour of the Goldfields in Victoria from October 23-25.
