With gate takings up and a positive vibe from visitors, Young Pastoral and Agricultural Society president Tony Starr said the 144th annual show was looking pretty successful.

Tony said new show exhibits - like the home brewing section and recycled metal artwork were well patronised.
But it was the cooking section that really took the cake, with the specially decorated entries not only filling the new showcase, but overflowing into the cases in the craft section.
Numbers at the show grew slightly after 5pm, as people finished work.
He said the show society would be applying for a half day public holiday in 2016.
“As a business manager I can understand both sides of the argument for the half-day - what will be will be,” he said.
