Traditional blueberry pancakes proved a secret formula for former San Franciscan Austin Bautista as the 18-year-old blew away the field to win the Federal Amateur Open on Sunday.

Bautista started the day tied fifth and four shots behind leader Nicholas Watts, but shot rounds of seven under and four under to streak the field and finish 16-under par.
He finished nine shots clear of second-placed pair Dylan Perry and Watts.
Bautista was born in Sydney, but grew up in San Francisco, where he picked up his Californian twang.
He's now back living in Sydney and is a member at Bonnie Doon.
Bautista had a slow start to the tournament on Friday, shooting one over the card in the first round, but put his sensational turnaround down to a special breakfast he ate over the weekend.
His friend owns a pancake parlour and even opened the restaurant early on Sunday morning to ensure Bautista got his fix.
"I didn't have it before round one and then I had it for round two and round three, they've been great," Bautista said.
"Blueberry traditional pancakes have been a very good breakfast to get me going, I definitely let everyone know that because he's a really good friend of mine and he's always on my team."
With his hunger sated, Bautista then set about tearing up the Federal fairways.
The bad news for the rest of the field was he took his foot off the gas over the last few holes and played safe and went for the middle of the greens to ensure he didn't make any silly mistakes.
So he could have won by even more.
He said he was confident going in, having finished second in the Keperra Bowl last month.
There's no rest for the Federal winner either.
Just hours after winning one of Australia's most prestigious amateur titles, Bautista was on a bus back to Sydney to try to get a spot in the NSW Open.
He's teeing off in the pre-qualifying for the professional event at 7am on Monday and then he has the pre-qualifying for the Australian Open.
"I actually could've gone a lot lower in the fourth round, I kind of eased off," Bautista said.
"I knew I was a few in front, but I wasn't sure how many, so I thought we don't need to go too much lower just start hitting the middle of the green and get a couple of pars."
