The beloved Australian comedian Adam Hills suggested recently on Twitter that the best way for Australia to demonstrate its disdain for racial and religious prejudice would be to hang Pauline Hanson from the Harbour Bridge (later explaining he meant "suspend", not garotte). You might imagine Australia's multicultural broadcaster SBS would sympathise with that view, but in fact SBS has decided to do the opposite – inflate Hanson's already considerable ego by giving her a program of her own.
