Young’s Luke Simms, Tiger Butt, Rick Bennett and Luke Apps will step into a cage this Saturday night for Storm Front Two - the town’s inaugural caged fighting event.
MDMMA Young head instructor Tai Seuao said it has been a long road to this point but looks forward to seeing his boys strut their stuff.
“Luke Apps and Luke Simms are quietly confident the work they’ve put in during the fight camp which will give them a positive outcome and get both their hands raised,” Tai said.
“Tiger - who is a bit of a veteran - is hoping to continue on the good work from his previous fight that he had earlier on in the year.
“Rick is debuting and I think between his standup and his opponent’s groundwork it will make for a good show.”
But the night’s main bout between Apps and Daniel Riley will be one not to be missed.
“Luke’s looking to hold his reputation and keep climbing that ladder toward the title,” Tai said.
“I’m expecting all four boys to put on a good performance and win lose or draw in my eyes all four are already winners so the result is irrelevant.”
Storm Front Two will be held at the Young Services Club on Saturday night. Doors open at 6pm and the night kicking off with Luke Simms at 7pm.
Tickets are available at the Young Services Club. Under 18 year olds must be accompanied by a paying adult if they wish to attend.
A number of tickets will be available on the night, but Tai encourages those interested to get in early as to not miss out.
“It’s really tough to get any type of shows let alone entertainment out to regional areas, so for something different, a little left of field, it’s a good opportunity for locals to support these athletes,” Tai said.
