While the blaze was quickly contained by Quayle Milling employees, Young Fire and Rescue attended the scene to ensure it had been properly extinguished.
Young police said the fire broke out at 8.15am as workers were repairing a small storage silo.
Lovell Street was closed between Thornhill and Main streets and traffic diverted away from the scene until the facility was deemed at no risk of explosion.
