The event was held at the Bribbaree Showground and attracted over 850 entries, with a waiting list of competitors keen to compete within the high quality facilities.
After upgrades to the arena in 2014 the grounds have never been better or safer for both stock and competitors.
Throughout the weekend 10 events are held with the Feature Ladies Draft winner receiving a custom made saddle from Riverina Saddlery.
A local encouragement event is also held and this year was taken out by Bribbaree local Angus Metcalf, riding Chimes.
The previous week of heavy rain cleared up for three beautiful sunny days of competition.
The event was supported by a small team of dedicated volunteers who keep the cogs turning on a very successful draft every year.
A massive thank you must go out to all those who volunteer their time in the back yards, mustering cattle, running the gates, cooking, keeping score as well as managing the office and finances.
The committee makes or breaks an event like this and each one of them is greatly appreciated.
Dedicated sponsors and cattle donors are the other essential element to running the draft.
Without cattle many drafts have failed to run.
Cattle donors this year included Blantyre Farms, Danny and Adriana Fitzgerald and The Hannaford Family along with Matt and Chrissie French who walk the Hannaford cattle in.
Each year the committee approaches local businesses and ask for their support.
It is understood the pressures of small business and also how often they are asked to contribute towards sponsorship.
The committee wishes to thanks each of the sponsors for their generosity and hope that the community can support them in return.
Businesses involved in sponsorship this year included Gerrard and Partners Livestock and Property, Riverina Saddlery, Holmcon Industrial Constructions, Hilltops Equine Centre, Keith Simmons Engineering, T & D’S Produce, Performance Floats, Mitavite, Thunderbird, O’Dwyers horse shoes and Mary Kay with Sally Worner.
