Now 14, the Wangaratta teen’s love of singing is about to take him to the entertainment capital of the world.
Visser will fly to Los Angeles with his parents Michele and Michael for a month-long stint working with music industry leaders on January 27.
“My short term goal is to be established in the States by the end of the year,” the year 9 student at Wangaratta’s Galen College told The Border Mail.
Visser was spotted during a charity performance at this year’s “Great Australians Gala Dinner” held at the National Gallery of Victoria – featuring renowned performers such as Kate Ceberano, Jon Stevens and Ross Wilson.
He wowed the audience with the classic soul song, A Change is Gonna Come, and was noticed by a talent scout.
“I like singing soul music like Aretha Franklin, Otis Reading, Etta James … I also do pop music too and that’s the path I’m going to follow.”
