The 2016 Golden Guitar Awards as it happened
10.45pm: And it's really only fitting that the two men of the moment - Troy Cassar-Daley and Paul Kelly - round out the night.
And what a night it was!

10.15pm: A musical interlude if you will ... Golden Guitar winners Adam Eckersley performs Wheels. It goes like this:

An emotional TCD accepts Male Artist of the Year. It's been an emotional Golden Guitars - happy tears, happily.
10.02pm: And come on up again Lee Kernaghan - another Golden Guitar for the heartfelt Spirit of the Anzacs.
9.56pm: Freedom Ride wins another Golden Guitar for Troy Cassar-Daley and Paul Kelly. That takes Troy's Golden Guitar count to 30.
9.45pm: That's Golden Guitar No.35 for Lee Kernaghan. Congrats.
9.29pm: Rex Dallas and Tamworth's own @ashleighdallas present Bush Ballad of the Year Golden Guitar to Allan Caswell and Manfred Vigars for One Last Muster.
9.24pm: Peter Denahy is treating the crowd to a great performance of his award-winning Singin' Shoes.
9.08pm: Anne Kirkpatrick and Max Ellis induct Graeme Connors to the Australasian Country Music Roll of Renown. And it's a bit emotional ... understandably.
9pm: Alternative Country Album of the Year goes to Shane Nicholson for Hell Breaks Loose! The big question is ... will it?

8.31pm: We're back in awards mode, people, and the winner of the Instrumental of the Year goes to Pete Denahy with Cluck Old Hen.
How couldn't it with a title like that! Congrats Pete.
8.25pm: Beccy Cole is now onstage at the Golden Guitars performing Sweet Rebecca . You know it, right?
8.21pm: The Country Music Capital News Group or Duo of the Year award goes to ...
8.15pm: Another Golden Guitar for Mr Cassar-Daley - this one as Producer of the Year.
8.14pm: Recognising musical skills - gotta love it.

8.03pm: We might well see and hear more from Lee Kernaghan tonight but let's not get too far ahead. He's won a Golden Guitar for the video clip accompanying Spirit of the Anzacs.
