The meeting is an annual event held at Numurkah in Victoria, where karters came from all over Australia and New Zealand.
Competitors need to hold a current vintage or racing licence to be able to demonstrate their karts.
Clive and his brother Doug Lacey from Sydney attended the event with two highly modified Victor lawn mower motors (125cc) that they raced in the late 60s and early 70s.
Karts go out in their relevant groups to demonstrate how they performed in those race days years ago.
By adding GPS tracking system lap times, maximum speeds can be determined.
Clive, driving his era 2 kart had the best lap time for the group and was awarded the Top Gun Era 2 Grand National Vintage Numurkah trophy.
This was quite an achievement as his engine was an era 1 category and not an engine designed for karting.
Doug and Clive obtained their vintage licence through renewing membership of the local Grenfell Karting Club that they belonged to in those earlier years.
