The team played well and were able to execute plays that resulted in what team captain Jessica McInerney said is the biggest win the team has ever had.
“The team is really working well, our defence was outstanding,” McInerney said.
“The players have been training hard and put it into play during the game.”
Try-scoring machine Ash Carroll totalled five tries on the day, while Danika Coddington scored two, and Annie Turner and Maddie Anderson both took one each.
Amy Braham converted four tries.
Elevations Restaurant Players Player went to Ellie Hawkey.
The Round 3 win has placed Young fourth on the Group Nine ladder, one point behind Temora, and two behind ladder leaders Brothers and Albury.
The Cherryettes will take on eighth-placed Tumut in another home game on Sunday where they hope to take their third consecuative win.
The game will kick off at 12.20pm at Alfred Oval.
