Three games will take place tomorrow when the Under 18s, Saintees and First Grade sides take on Cowra in their second clash of the season.
While the 18s had a comfortable win over Cowra at Cowra in their previous encounter they won’t be taking the match lightly. And with the home ground advantage this week they have high hopes of making it two wins from two.
The Saintees will take to the field following the 18s in what they hope to be their first win of the season.
Club Person Geoff Harmer said the team isn’t far off their first win and there’s every chance this weekend will be their big moment.
The First Grade men will cap off the day in what will no doubt be an intense game for all involved.
Despite Young missing several key players on the day, Harmer anticipates the side will put up a good fight against what he described as a classy opposition.
“Cowra seem to be on a bit of a roll so far this season, so we hope to put in a good performance, be competitive and keep trying to get better each week,” he said.
“With guys unavailable and what we do have - sadly we’ll have to rely on the old bones again and help out.
“I’m sure we can be competitive, Cowra know they’re going to be in the game with Young, they always enjoy the tussles with us, so we just hope it doesn’t blow out.
“We hope to be competitive over four quarters this week.”
The Under 18s will kick off the day at 10.30am, followed by the Saintees at 12.45pm and First Grade at 2.30pm.
Be sure to get out to Burrangong Oval tomorrow to cheer on your local AFL club.
