The briefing comes ahead of next week’s first meeting of Hilltops Council which will be presided over by administrator, Wendy Tuckerman and her interim general manager Anthony McMahon and interim deputy general manager David Aber, formerly Young Shire Council’s interim general manager.
The Hilltops Council meeting will take place at the Hilltops Harden offices (former Harden Shire Council Chambers) at 5.30pm on Tuesday, not Wednesday as previously reported.
Mr Aber told The Witness yesterday that everyone was welcome to attend.
“Yes, it’s a public meeting,” he said.
He said in terms of the local operations - that people should view the new council area as one whole area with three service centres being Boorowa, Harden and Young.
“Everything is being done to keep it business as usual and to the ratepayers everything should look normal,” he said.
