According to captain Brett Campbell the Round 9 match offers a realistic opportunity for the ever-improving Bears to put points on the Woodbridge Cup ladder.
But to be competitive the Bears must put in a full 80 minutes on the paddock, a factor that’s let them down so far this season.
“In the last month we’ve played well in one half of football at a time, we haven’t played well for a whole game,” Campbell said.
Reflecting on the season Campbell said the Bears have improved out of sight since Round 2 and are on their way to a win.
“Every week I’ve gone in expecting us to be able to win, but even if we don’t [this weekend] I’m confident we'll have a few before the end of the year,” he said.
The Bears will play at Cranfield Oval on Sunday, June 19 with league tag kicking off at 12.50pm, followed by First Grade at 2pm.
