Lots of competitions for 18 and under 25 and all ages after. There are many competitions from club Level, District, Regional, State, National and International and the age of the participants is coming down. The Olympics will be on soon in Rio, Bowls is played there and is very popular with spectators.
You can travel with Bowls. See other clubs wherever you go, visit clubs in other states and if you go overseas, catch up with fellow bowlers from other countries.
FUN AND FITNESS
You get a lot of exercise playing bowls. Do you realise you could walk up to 4-5 klms during a game. Then there is bending and lifting, stretching and lunging. Your mind is occupied with calculations. No wonder people are still playing into their Seventies, Eighties and sometimes even nineties.
SOCIAL INTERACTION
Lawn Bowls is a fantastic way of meeting new friends and enjoying the company of people who have something in common. You are out enjoying the best weather, enjoying your game and having lots of fun challenging yourself every week.
