The next monthly meeting will be at 2pm on Monday, July 4, after the Young branch’s 35th birthday celebrations.
Congratulations and happy 90th birthday to Gwen Waddington who was presented with our club’s 90th birthday certificate and card.
It is with much sadness the association lost a great member, the late Bede Neylan.
They held one minute’s silence on the bus trip at our meeting.
Rest in peace Bede and thank you for your donations to the club and for your loyalty.
Unfortunately bookings and money have needed to be closed for the club’s 35th birthday celebrations for Friday, July 1, in the auditorium of the Young Services Club.

The committee and workers free lunch at the Binalong Hotel function room today will have the Community Transport bus pick up members from 10.15am with most at home.
Lunch menu will be roast lamb and baked vegies.
The association have had an extremely busy first half of 2016, but the second half of the year is busier with seven coach trips, five bus trips, five barbecues and social lunches, and eight fundraiser days.
Young branch has an AGM coming up on Monday, August 1, followed by the monthly meeting with an afternoon tea of sandwiches between the AGM and the meeting.
Committee nominations have closed.
The bus trip to Wyangala Dam, Darbys Falls, Woodstock and Cowra is on Friday, August 19, at a subsidised cost of $20 which includes $7 each for a guide all day from Cowra to Cowra, $3 for a tour at Cowra and $2 each entry into Wyangala Dam.
It is a really great day out with members buying own lunch at the dam.
One of our best coach trips will be to Oberon and to Mayfield Gardens on Friday, August 26, at a subsidised cost of $35 which has an added free morning tea.
In the afternoon, members will look at the bi-centenary tapestries and look at Lake Oberon, so it sounds really exciting.
Two week’s later, the association have another Wilkinson’s coach trip to Mogo Zoo on Friday, September 9, leaving the Railway Station at 6.30am at a subsidized cost of $68.
This includes a two hour guided tour, $23 entry into the zoo and the coach.
The bus trip coming up on Sunday, September 25, is a very full day out, touring Duntroon House, the oldest residence in Canberra, looking at outhouses, Duntroon Military College, then onto the old bus depot markets at Kingston for two hours.
This will be followed by Floriade for one hour at a cost of $20 for all day.

Some of the coach trips coming up for 2016 are to Mittagong and Lake Alexandria, one to Coolamon Cheese Factory and Avondale Station, and one to Orange Christmas Markets with an exciting afternoon planned.
Others include a trip to Millthorpe and Vittoria and one to Lithgow and Linsdale.
The bus trips coming up are to Binda with a free picnic lunch by Dot, one to Gunning with a guide all day and one will be our usual orchard crawl and to Bowning.
The association has43 new members so far for 2016.
