The Under 18s burst out of the blocks and, apart from a couple of lapses, never looked like being pipped.
They put in a masterful performance to defeat the Bushies by 18 points.
The backs did all the damage, keeping the hosts to only eight scoring shots for the entire game. The midfield pushed the ball forward and played the majority of the game in their own forward 50.
Brody Carberry was the standout player for his brilliant back defence and attacking creativity.
First time player Blake Stephens had a solid game and provided one of the highlights of the game with a clever goal from his first touch.

The women’s side then booted up and showed massive improvement against a more fancied opponent.
The Saintees started slowly, allowing Bathurst to put on 31 unanswered points in the first quarterYoung held Bathurst to nil in the second term, while scoring 15 points of their own. They went into half time down by 16.
Young let in three goals in the third quarter, and outplayed their opposition in the final quarter 7-6.
Best On Ground went to Emily Poulton.

First Grade cut 90 points off the difference from their previous encounter with the Outlaws in a tremendous effort for the club.
Brody Carberry made his debut with Young, and Stewarts Jewellers’ best on the ground went to ruckman and new signing Justin Kelly. The club would like to thank stewards for their years of support to the saints and wish Lyn all the best in the future.

On Sunday the Under 14s took on the Bathurst Giants, and they were quite literally giants.
The mercy rule was introduced and the final score was 81-nil but this didn't seem to worry the junior Saints.
Beau Harmer-Clark and Lachie Pratt led the side, and new player Pita Cooper in just his second game shone in the ruck. Keidus Butler had a fine game on the wing.
