The Saints were again boosted by Under 18s who according to clubman Geoff Harmer continue to prove they’re the backbone of the club.
Harmer said Young were on par with the opposition but failed to put away the points.
“Parkes were switched on and desperate to get out of their losing streak and we were probably a little too over desperate which showed in our goal kicking,” he said.
The Under 14s travelled to Cowra on Sunday chasing their first official win of the season where they put a 73-25 win over the Blues. They now have a two-week break over the school holidays.
The Under 18s and Saintees had a bye.
