Today the Young Hospital will hold their annual Soup Day from 11am to 2.30pm at the Young Town Hall in Boorowa Street. Choose your favourite soup and select from a variety of breads. Finish with a delicious homemade slice and a cup of tea or coffee.

All proceeds will be used to buy equipment for Young Hospital. Cost is $12 per person and everyone is invited to show their support by attending.
Tomorrow the Yoga Tree Studio at 232 Boorowa Street will host a deep healing Crystal Sound Therapy session in the Millard Centre between 9.30am to 11.30am. Bookings are essential. Contact Penny Gibson on 6382 2896 for more details.
Young Library is the venue for a workshop with Arnold Zable, an award winning writer, storyteller, educator, human rights advocate and former lecturer at Melbourne University on Monday, August 1. There will be a workshop from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Monday and another at night. For bookings phone the library at 6382 1886.
A backyard Fruit Tree Care and Pruning Workshop is coming to Young in August. The workshop is an initiative of Landcare and will be held from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, August 6.
The workshop will cover soil biology, ground preparation, fruit tree pruning and grafting and fruit fly awareness and management strategies. Cost is $10 per person. RSVP to Megan Harris: blandtemora@landcare.org.au or phone 0499 199 076.
Saturday, August 6, will also see the first Young & Region Farmers Market for the month. There will be a variety of stalls at Anderson Park from 9am to 12noon, with a wide range of local produce offered by local producers.
A Ladies Pamper and Relaxation Day offering information, great food and entertainment will be held on Thursday, August 11 at Young. The day is being organised by Naomi Peters and her team at “The Hub” and venue is the Young Services Club. There’s a motivational speaker and a variety of pamper stalls arranged. The cost of $15 includes entry, food and all activities.

The Uniting Church Markets will be held on Saturday August 13 at the church hall and grounds located at the corner of Cloete & Lynch Streets. Stalls offering a variety of goods and refreshments will be on site. The market will be held from 8am to 1pm.
