With the oval having no time to heal, it was a muddy scene once again.
Young prepared well as they knew it was a big game to try beat top-of-the-table Kangaroos.
Wagga were dominating in completing their sets, leaving Young to do all the hard work, trying to get out of their own end.
Once the ‘Pickers had a chance at the Kangaroos line, they split the defence with a set play supplied by manager Will Scott, to allow his brother Dom Scott to cross the line for Young's only try for the day. Dylan Muggleton adding the two points.
Young’s day consisted of plenty of tackling in the mud, leaving them too weary to display enough energy once the ball was in their hands.
Wagga ran away victors at 30-6, but was a major improvement from Young if you are to go off the score the last time these two teams met.
Another big game in defence and a classy try from Dom Scott handed him the players player for this week.
There are only two games remaining this year for the Under 16's, so be sure to come out in numbers to support them for their last home game this weekend against Gundagai Tigers on Sunday.
