The 10 girl team have been involved in a heavy training regime to be prepared for the big event next week.
They have trained every lunch time and many afternoons after school.
The girls, with the assistance of teacher Jessica Temoananui and teachers aid Holly Cullen, have been preparing since the school year started in February and according to their coaches are getting their just rewards.
“The girls have been working so hard for a long period of time now and deserve all the accolades they receive,” Jessica said.
“Finishing first in the state was a great achievement, but the girls are not resting on the laurels.
“All the girls and everyone involved with the team would like to thank the Services Club for their donation,” she said.
The Young Services Club donated $500 to the squad to help with the costs associated with the trip.
The girls leave next Friday by car to Sydney.
From there they will fly to the Gold Coast for the competition.
