Speaking at the launch of the 2016 Artlands Festival on Tuesday, Mr Grant refused to be drawn any further on charges levelled at three men accused of sending the threats.

Police will allege at least three threatening phone calls were made on Friday to Mr Grant's Dubbo electorate office.

In the first call a man allegedly told a member of Mr Grant's staff: "I'll burn your house down." 

Several hours later two other messages were left on the office answering machine. 

The first allegedly said: "Hey Troy Grant, just giving you the heads up it's going to be a very hot summer. If the greyhounds are shut down, mate, be ready for big fires." 

This was allegedly followed by a second message: "Troy, if the greyhound ban goes through, mate, I'm going to murder your f---ing family."

Police were notified of the calls and, on Saturday, arrested two men at Molong. 

Christopher Steven Wilson, 22, was charged with using a carriage service to threaten to kill and using a carriage service to menace, harass and offend. 

Toby Augustus Weekes, 31, was charged with using a carriage service to menace, harass and offend.

The men were granted strict bail and will appear in Orange Local Court on September 5.

In a separate incident a Sydney man, Ben Robert Campton, has been charged after posts he allegedly made to Mr Grant via Facebook on Sunday. 

In the posts, Mr Campton allegedly said "I'm going to stab you" and "I hope you have personal security".

"We are stocking weapons for a civil war. You're first on the list…," he also allegedly wrote.

Mr Campton is due in Blacktown Local Court on September 5.

Grant was part of the decision to ban greyhound racing from July 1, 2017.

The greyhound industry are currently fighting the decision in court with the matter unlikely to be resolved in the near future.
