The Cherry Capital Country Music Association held their August muster at the Boorowa Recreation Club which was well supported by members and visitors from Young, Cowra, Lyndhurst, Forbes, Cootamundra, Murringo, Boorowa and Harden.

The afternoon kicked off with some instrumentals on keyboard from Brian (Cootamundra) followed by Danny (Cowra) on his guitar.
Songstress, Ann Penman sang some beautiful ballads followed by Bede Morrissey.
Bede has a magnificent voice and sang some irish songs.
Dave Moorby played a couple of instrumentals while Kerry Shaw sang a couple of rock’n’roll numbers followed by her son, Phil who sang a Randy Travis song.
Margaret Gillespie performed her version of The Gambler.
Jason Minney from Young entertained the crowd while Bill Murray with his smooth voice sang a couple of originals.
Final artist for the afternoon was Ken Chalker from Cowra.
All artists were backed by David Moorby, Danny Jeffries and Bill Murray on guitars, Ray Watts on bass, John Roberts on drums with Helen Orr on percussion.
Members travel to support other country music clubs in the area including Wombat, Cowra, Cootamundra, Canberra and Forbes.
They have also entered talent quests including the Forbes Talent Quest where Kerry Shaw was awarded first place in the Open Yodel, second in the Veterans Section and second in the Senior Female Vocal.
The next talent quest on the circuit will be at Parkes on the October long weekend.
Members also performed at the Grenfell Henry Lawson Festival where Phil Shaw was given the encouragement award and Kerry Shaw finished third in the busking competition.
The CCCMA hold their monthly musters in Harden, Boorowa and Young with October 15 the date for the next muster at the Harden Country Club.
Cherry Capital Country Music Association will be holding their AGM on September 17, with live music to follow.
