Young Harness Racing Club will conduct an eight race program tonight commencing at 5:45pm.
Tomorrow night, soar above the town with National Cherry Queen entrant Jacqui Everdell’s Balloon Rides Over Young.
The rides are operating between 4pm to 8pm from Bluestill Distillery & Gallery grounds.
The same night the distillery is also offering a separate Spirit Tasting at 7pm, and Young Bowling Club has a trivia night to aid the Choir of the Southern Cross.
A first night movie fundraiser will be held at the Southern Cross Cinema next Thursday to help the local Scouts.
Pete’s Dragon is just released and $15 will secure the movie, a hotdog, popcorn, juice box or water.
It is at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
The Young Theatre Company Calendar Girls production opens to the public on Friday, September 16, with four other performances on Saturday, September 17, Thursday 22nd, Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th.

Hayley Dwyer taught students at St Mary’s last year and has relocated to Boorowa where she is supporting the National Cherry Festival as a queen candidate.
Her first event is on Saturday, September 17 at the Boorowa Ex-Services and Citizens Club to help the Boorowa Education Foundation.
Sample wines entered in the inaugural Hilltops Wine Show that were judged in Griffith this week at the NSW Regional Wine Show.
On Saturday, September 24, from 4pm to 6pm you will find entries for tasting at Young Town Hall.
The major trophy winners and the Peter Robertson Trophy for the Hilltops Wine of the Year will be presented at 5pm.
