The Durrells: An outrageous fantasy that's a pleasure to indulge

The Durrells (Seven, Tuesday 8.30pm) this week puts me in mind of that old proverb about fish and house guests (they both start to stink after three days), for two reasons. One, house guests feature prominently. And two, because while fish may go off, a good fish-out-of-water tale doesn't. And that's exactly what The Durrells is.
