According to a Fairfax Media analysis of acts assented in the first year of all post-war prime ministerships, 104 bills have been finalised by Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove since September 2015. This compares with 116 for Tony Abbott, 132 for Julia Gillard, 133 for Kevin Rudd and 86 for John Howard.
The record belongs to Paul Keating, while Harold Holt only achieved 93 and Labor giant Ben Chifley 74.
