Cars were lined up along Main Street as they waited their turn to be washed and shimmied by the students.
Between 1pm and 4.30pm more than 100 cars went through the two washing bays, raising upward of $1000. Year advisor Jess McInerney said she believed the school will encourage Year 12 students to give back to the community each year.
“They were in great spirits, they had a really good time and had a lot more fun than we anticipated,” she said. “Thank you to the Young community for supporting a great cause, and a big thank you to Mark Crutcher at the Young Car Wash. I’m sure that the money will be well received.”
