Paramedics were called out to the stadium about 2.50pm to reports of a man in medical distress.
They performed CPR before taking him to Nepean Hospital.
SES spokeswoman Sue Pritchard confirmed the man, aged about 50, was a volunteer involved in training to rescue people from floodwaters.
She said it was too early to say how the man was injured, but the SES would do "a full investigation".
"It sort of goes to show how dangerous it is that people can be injured doing this training," she said.
"It's another reason why we always encourage people not to go into floodwater because it's a very risky activity at the best of times."
Ms Pritchard said the man would be kept in hospital overnight for observation.
